Pet Envy

I envy a lot of things about my pets:  their athleticism, grace, coordination, not to mention their better sensory equipment and of course their wonderful tails.  But lately my envy has focused primarily on their lovely coats.  I envy how they are always ready for any occasion; whether black tie or blue jeans.  I love how when they take a bath they also wash all their clothes. Talk about a reduction in laundry.  Further I hate clothes shopping so I appreciate that clothing purchases would be optional .  Believe me I would love to have just one always appropriate outfit that always fit. (weight gain or hopefully weight loss)  I know all the fashionistas would be aghast at such a thought.  While the whole clothing industry and their many dependant businesses such as retail stores and advertising would be in a panic in case there were other eccentrics that would be able to opt out of the system and put their sales in a tailspin.  Does anyone else wish they had a lovely coat like one of their pets?

Well, I live in Texas, so fur coats aren't very appealing. But I have wanted to have the schedule of a cat! Although my husband is allergic to cats, so maybe not.

Um. Okay - I admit. Never really thought about having a layer of fur - but - I do have an aversion to clothes shopping and laundry. My solution? At some point I may do what some of my friends and I did in high school. We had a 'boycott' fashion week. We wore the same outfit every day - we washed it, of course. but it was rather freeing!

I think I have too much 'fur' and have gone to some measures to reduce and permanently remove it. I'm of the opinion that hair is useless. But neither am I a fashionista (as Tamara will confirm). I do like shopping with people who are fashionistas because who doesn't like to look good (it makes us feel good)? Could our fur be changeable? That would be cool!

I like your idea of shoping with a fahionista; maybe, the enjoyment would rub off. While I only have furry pets; birds, fish and reptiles have it good too. I also like the chameleon color change thing.

Susan, when I was a little girl, I was obsessed with tails. I wished I was a horse. I tied sock after sock and then tied it to my pants and crawled around the house neighing.

I still think horses' tails are cool, but I'm glad I'm a human after all! ;)

Elizabeth, I know what you mean horses' tails are beautiful. Horses are beautiful. Actually I love all tails, even lizard, and am convinced that in a magical world tails would be like wands and thought I might blog on that on my fantasy blog.
